JOINT TASK FORCE LIBERIA —
This first book of the new JOINT TASK FORCE series is scheduled for
release September 2nd, but some book stores I've asked about it, announce it will be on the shelves by the end of August. I don't have the sales figures yet, but I hope you will call your favorite bookseller and ask him or her to reserve several hundred copies of the book for you when it arrives. Opps! Sorry, I meant reserve a copy for yourself, but of course if you want copies for friends...ummmmm. For mass-market fiction, most bookstores only carry a few copies and when they're sold, they eventually get around to ordering more. By then, the market has moved on to another series of books. So, call ahead and reserve a copy for yourself.
You can always buy them through the Internet
For those who have continued to shift my books from wherever bookstore have placed them to the 'new arrivals' or 'recommended' shelves, thanks. Somewhere in this may be an ethics issue, but I didn't go to the Naval Academy so haven't figured out whether it is or isn't. If it isn't, it may upset booksellers. Like all authors, I have never met a bookseller that I didn't like. (I threw that last sentence in case one of them is reading this. Pissing off booksellers is like not eating your Mom's Thanksgiving dinner—only your Mom will invite you back.)
JOINT TASK FORCE AFRICA is
Meadows' newest novel scheduled for release in March 2005.
A Navy EP-3E is hit by a missile and before the pilot can
recover control of the aircraft four aircrew bail out over
West Africa, landing in the middle of an African civil war.
It is a fast-pace story as Admiral Holman races to rescue the
Sailors before they are killed or captured.
"Rip-snorting, realistic action-adventure from a man who has been there."
"When Meadows' men set sail, it's sure to be a mission like no other."
"Fast-paced, roller-coaster ride with this exhilarating military thriller. Dynamic writer with a fresh voice in this technical-ridden, yet intriguing genre."
"An absorbing, compelling look at America's future. Visionary, scary. Great battle scenes, believable heroes, plus villains you'll love to hate!"

them directly to your home and pay the freight. I don't know about you, but the fun of thumbing through a bookstore has always appealed to me. I told my wife that I would love to own a bookstore with a bar. (I haven't mentioned it since the laughter died down.)
