Future Works
I have started a new book. The last time I wrote about Iowa
Rising and Saving Israel, but the time isn’t right to do a
stand-alone book, so I have been asked to do another series.
This new series will be called Sea power with the books
tentatively titled SEA BASE, SEA WARRIOR, and SEA
STRIKE. For the Sailors among you, those titles and the
series name should sound familiar. Of course, my
interpretation of them may be slightly different from the
Navy’s.
I have also moved from my favorite part of the globe, the
Mediterranean, and am sailing into the West Pacific for this
action-adventure series. I have only completed Chapter 1
and was nine-pages into Chapter 2, when I decided I didn’t
like the way Chapter 2 was going, so am started over on it. I
expect approximately 12 chapters for Sea Base and am
excited over the idea of creating a floating island on top of
Fast Sealift Ships. It may be 13-chapters---now, if I can only
figure how to weave a little nymphomania into the plot.
We have an organization called Maritime Sealift
Command-MSC. The MSC ships are gray like American
warships, but they’re logistic ships and easily recognized by
the blue and gold stripes painted around the funnels.
Merchant seaman make up the bulk of the crew with a few
Sailors shoved in amongst them to identify the ship as a
Naval vessel. As the JOINT TASK FORCE series was
dedicated to Amphibious Group Two in Norfolk, VA—the
Sea power series will be dedicated to the Maritime Sealift
Command.
That brings you up to date on my works and my future. Keep
in touch. Drop me emails whenever you want and if you
have questions about the newsletter or ideas for improving
it, let me know. Now, remember one thing----It’s an
American responsibility to exercise the right to vote. Get out
and vote, regardless of whom you support.
Cheers,
JOINT TASK FORCE AFRICA is
Meadows' newest novel scheduled for release in March 2005.
A Navy EP-3E is hit by a missile and before the pilot can
recover control of the aircraft four aircrew bail out over
West Africa, landing in the middle of an African civil war.
It is a fast-pace story as Admiral Holman races to rescue the
Sailors before they are killed or captured.
"Rip-snorting, realistic action-adventure from a man who has been there."
"When Meadows' men set sail, it's sure to be a mission like no other."
"Fast-paced, roller-coaster ride with this exhilarating military thriller. Dynamic writer with a fresh voice in this technical-ridden, yet intriguing genre."
"An absorbing, compelling look at America's future. Visionary, scary. Great battle scenes, believable heroes, plus villains you'll love to hate!"
